Because we have nothing better to do on a Monday night, we decided it was the perfect time to try our hands at the art of cheese making. Due to some coagulation issues, what was supposed to take 4 hours turned into a night of drinking followed by a less-than-sober affinage session this morning. Remember when the nona taught me to make pasta? Today was an equally life changing foodie experience. Yvonne’s mom, aka Mama Nederland, gave us a step by step tutorial of her famed secret family recipe for Dutch apple pie. I’ve been sworn to secrecy so only pictures are allowed, but if you play your cards right… this might just be in your plate come NYE 2013.
